Kiwis and Snow

It's been snowing heavily up in the mountains and the snow is definitely getting lower, but it still hasn't hit Queenstown itself yet. Yesterday I drove John Man, the two Ivys, old lady Sherry and Natalie up to Coronet Peak in the afternoon. The snowball fight we had there was great fun. Before that we had played indoor mini-golf, and I can honestly say I don't think Tiger Woods need worry about any threat from any of us when it comes to golf. This afternoon we visited the Kiwi Bird Park, learnt about New Zealand's national bird, took loads of photos and then we watched a bird show and a Maori Cultural show. It was all good fun and very impressive.

Plans for tomorrow are English lessons in the morning and, if the weather is ok, horse-riding in the afternoon.

Who can play golf in your group? The two Johns or old lady Sherry? I tried golf many times in Australia but......... It's not as easy as I expected. Anyway, we have just finished a sharing about the Sabah trip. This time, it's organized by the RTHK and more than 100 local primary school students came to our school to watch the sharing. The Sabah school, a Shangai school and a local secondary school also joined us in via tele-conferencing.

Well, it sounds as if life in NZ is a lot more interesting than in HK then ;-)

The kids must be loving it.

Now Giovanni - did you ever tell them about the workmen's hut (last golfing foray)! You could hit one from half a kilometre without even trying (lol)!!
